virtual cd dvd software

Virtual CD/DVD software?

Does anyone know of any Virtual CD software that works with 5308? Daemon tools fails to install, and Alcohol 52% BSOD's. :(
TIA

did you try Microsoft's VCD?

Yup, that doesn't seem to work either. I'm guessing part of the problem is that they're all trying to load kernel level drivers, and the new security systems are preventing this. :(

If you login as the Admininstrator that should solve it - also try disabling UAP settings. www.zacknet.co.uk/vistabase, click on Security, "What is User Account Protection?" tells you how :o)

Running as Administrator, MS VCD installs, and runs, but I can't get it to successfully mount an ISO.

You have to add the driver by the way - haven't used it in a while, so if that doesn't work - try Daemon Tools again as that should :o)

Yup, I know that, I was able to install the driver, and the virtual drive appeared, but it wouldn't mount an ISO.
Daemon
tools (both versions 3.47 and 4) still fail to install, even under the Admin account. v4 mentions an incompatibility with Kernel level debuggers, so that may be the problem.

Yup, 3.02 works like a charm.
